Raya profile search: what you can and can’t check
Raya is the hardest app on our list to check, and we’d rather say so up front. Here’s how Raya membership works, why so little about its members is visible, what a search can still tell you, and when your money is better spent on other apps.
Usually, you can’t. Raya membership is by application only, and its privacy policy says only members whose applications were accepted can see a profile. Its terms also forbid members from taking screenshots or revealing who else is on the app. That leaves very little visible evidence, so a Raya check often ends with nothing that can be confirmed either way.

How does Raya membership work?
Raya describes itself as a membership-based community for dating, networking, and discovery. Anyone can apply, but a membership committee decides who gets in, and Raya’s terms say it keeps complete control and sole discretion over that choice. One factor the committee weighs is how connected an applicant already is to existing members, and Raya says applications with referrals are more likely to be accepted. Applicants who aren’t admitted wait on a list that Raya reviews continually.
Accepted members pay for a subscription. Raya’s App Store listing offers memberships of 1, 6, or 12 months that renew automatically. Raya’s application page also says the app isn’t currently available on Android, so members need an Apple device.
Why is so little about Raya members visible?
Privacy is the whole idea. Raya’s rules work against the kind of evidence other apps leave behind:
- Profiles are for accepted members only. Raya’s privacy policy says waitlisted applicants can’t see who’s a member, and members can’t see who’s waitlisted.
- Screenshots are against the rules. Raya’s terms prohibit taking screenshots or otherwise copying, disclosing, or sharing content from the app.
- So is naming names. The same list prohibits disclosing the identity of any user.
- Instagram stays as private as it already is. Raya says the Instagram details shown to members won’t go beyond what the person’s own Instagram profile shows.
One consequence: a friend who’s a member and spots your partner would be breaking Raya’s terms by telling you. Many won’t, and it isn’t fair to press them.
Is my partner on Raya? Questions to ask first
Before you pay anyone to check Raya, think about whether it fits your partner’s life at all.
- Do they use an Apple device? Raya says it isn’t available on Android.
- Are they well connected to people who might already be members, through work or friends? Raya’s committee weighs those connections when it reviews applications.
- Have they ever mentioned applying? Raya keeps applicants it doesn’t admit on a waitlist, so applying doesn’t mean they got in.
- Is their Instagram active? Raya asks applicants for an Instagram handle as part of the application.
If most of your answers are no, Raya probably shouldn’t be part of your search. Open apps like Tinder, Hinge, and Bumble don’t restrict who can see a profile the way Raya does, which makes them better places to start.
What free checks work for Raya?
Honestly, very few. You can’t browse Raya without being accepted, and a made-up application would mean misleading Raya’s committee about who you are. What’s left:
- A reverse image search of their photos. It won’t find a Raya profile, but it can surface other accounts that reuse the same pictures.
- A direct question. On an app this closed, asking may be the only clear answer available.
What can a CheaterBusting Raya check tell you?
