Is my husband on Hinge?
Is my husband on Hinge? How to find out discreetly
If you met on Hinge, his old profile may still be sitting there. A new one would mean something else. Here’s how to tell the two apart, what you can check without touching his phone, and how we check Hinge for his photo privately.
You can’t look your husband up on Hinge. Hinge says it doesn’t offer a search for specific people, and its Discover feed only shows members whose preferences match yours both ways. What you can check for free is his answer to a calm question, where his photos appear online, and charges on accounts you share. A photo-based search compares his face and city with publicly visible Hinge profiles.
Private & anonymous. We never contact them — and your details are never shared or sold.

How it works
Three steps. About two minutes of your time.
- 1
Tell us who to look for
One clear photo and the city they live or work in is enough to start. Their name and age help us rule out look-alikes.
- 2
We check every app in their area
We search Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, Match, and every other app you pick for profiles near that city, with the same checks on each one.
- 3
Read your private report
Any matching profiles, how sure we are about each one, and what we couldn’t confirm. Emailed to you by a guaranteed date.
Is it the profile you met him on, or a new one?
If you met on Hinge, this is the first question to settle. Hinge says uninstalling the app doesn’t delete the account, so the profile that introduced you can outlive your wedding. You have an advantage: you know what his life looked like when you met.
- Photos from before you met, prompts about a job or city from that time, and a neighborhood pin from his old apartment point to a leftover. Hinge doesn’t update location automatically.
- A wedding ring, photos taken on trips you took together, or pictures cropped from family events mean the profile was edited during your marriage.
- A neighborhood where he lives or works now, or a Selfie Verified badge next to recent photos, points to a current profile.
- Prompts that describe him as single, separated, or in an open marriage show how he’s presenting himself now, whatever the truth at home.
What can you check for free?
- Ask him, at a time the kids can’t overhear. The limit: you’ll hear his answer, which may or may not be the whole story.
- Reverse image search the photos he uses online with Google Lens. The limit: Hinge profiles live in the app, so expect his social accounts instead.
- Look over statements for accounts you share. The limit: purchases in an iPhone app are billed by Apple, and Apple says its charges can show as apple.com/bill and may group several purchases into one, so the word “Hinge” may never appear.
- Ask a friend who uses Hinge. The limit: Discover only shows mutual fits, and Hinge’s Block List lets members hide from people whose number or email they enter.
Hold some lines even when you’re hurting. Signing in to his Apple Account or his Hinge, or putting tracking software on his phone, can be illegal depending on where you live. A decoy profile breaks Hinge’s Community Guidelines.
What do his Hinge activity and pause settings tell you?
Hinge’s Last Active status shows “Active Now” or “Active Today,” but only to people viewing him in Discover, Standouts, or Likes You, and he can hide it. It tells you the app was opened, not what he did there. A paused account isn’t shown to new people, though its owner can keep chatting with existing matches, so a profile that vanishes isn’t necessarily gone.
How do you check discreetly when you share everything?
- The charge appears under a discreet billing name, as one payment. Nothing renews, so no monthly line turns up on a shared statement.
- Your report goes to the email you give us. Use an address only you read.
- We don’t need his phone, his passwords, or a login code, and we never contact, message, or warn him.
- You see a guaranteed report date before you pay. If we miss it, you get a full refund.
What will a Hinge search for your husband show?
Give us one clear photo of him and the city he lives or works in. His name, nicknames, age range, and the cities he travels to for work help us rule out look-alikes. We compare his face with publicly visible Hinge profiles near those cities. The $119 Essential package checks Hinge, Tinder, Bumble, and Badoo, and the $169 Complete package checks all 12 apps.
Each possible match comes with what lined up, a confidence note, and what we couldn’t confirm. If nothing matches, you get a “nothing found” report listing every app we checked. Paused and deleted profiles stay hidden from us, which is why the optional $49 re-scan checks again a month later.
If you find his profile, what should you do?
Give yourself a day before you say anything, if you can. When you talk, start with what you saw, such as the photos and the neighborhood, before what you think it means. If he says it’s the profile you met on, ask him to delete the account together; Hinge puts Delete Account at the bottom of the settings screen. Hold off on big decisions about money or living arrangements until you’ve had time and, if you need it, qualified advice. If you ever feel unsafe, your safety comes first.
