How to cancel a Cheaterbuster subscription, and what we can’t do for you

First, we’re not Cheaterbuster

CheaterBusting and Cheaterbuster sound almost the same, so it’s easy to land here by mistake. We’re an independent company. We have no connection to Cheaterbuster or to Magnus Technology LLC, the company its terms name as operator, and we can’t see, cancel, or refund Cheaterbuster subscriptions. Only Cheaterbuster can do that. [2]

Before you write to anyone, check the website and company name on your receipt or confirmation email. Then your request reaches the business that actually charged you.

How to cancel Cheaterbuster in your account

These are the steps Cheaterbuster gives in its own FAQ: [1]

• Go to cheaterbuster.com and log in.
• Open Subscription Management in your account.
• Choose Cancel Subscription.

Take a screenshot of the confirmation so you have a record of the date. Forgot your password? Cheaterbuster’s FAQ says to use the password reset on its sign-in page, and to contact support from your account email if you still can’t get in. [1]

How to cancel Cheaterbuster by email

• Write to support@cheaterbuster.email from the address you used to sign up.
• Say clearly that you want to cancel your subscription.
• Include your account email, plus screenshots or transaction details if they help.
• Cheaterbuster says it cancels emailed requests within 24 hours.

Send the email well before your renewal date, since an emailed cancellation can take up to a day to go through. [1] [2]

What happens after you cancel?

Cheaterbuster’s terms say cancelling stops all future charges, and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, so timing matters: cancel before the renewal date shown at checkout. Each subscription covers one person, so if you bought more than one, cancel each of them. [1] [2]

Can you get a Cheaterbuster refund?

Cheaterbuster’s FAQ and terms list the cases it refunds: [1] [2]

• Your first search found no matching profiles. Ask within 30 days for a full refund.
• You were charged twice, or a renewal was charged at the wrong amount.
• You were charged after a confirmed cancellation.
• Something you paid for wasn’t delivered.

Other renewals aren’t refunded, and the terms say all other payments are non-refundable except where the law requires. If a refund is approved, your bank may take 5 to 10 business days to show it. [1] [2]

Its Help with a Charge page gives a second address for billing problems, escalations@cheaterbuster.com, and says it replies within 1 business day. Include the name on your account, the email you signed up with, and the date and amount of the charge. [3]

What is the WHOP*CHEATERBUSTER charge on my bank statement?

Cheaterbuster says its charges appear as WHOP*CHEATERBUSTER or CHEATERBUSTER, depending on the payment processor. Its help page explains that the charge means a purchase was made with your card on cheaterbuster.com, whether a subscription, a one-time purchase, or a renewal. [1] [3]

If you don’t recognize it, Cheaterbuster asks you to contact it before you dispute the charge with your bank, and says it can usually sort things out faster. Its terms add that if you dispute with your bank instead, it may suspend or close the account. Whether to dispute is your decision. [2] [3]
